Stone Age Junior

This memorable and exciting game represents how Stone Age people conquered and shaped their world, in a way that’s suitable for children. On the game board’s different spaces you can receive and trade resources or build huts, which need specific materials. Hidden tiles on the edge of the board determine where you can place your playing piece; you first need to reveal them and remember what’s where in order to expand your village: the winner is the first player to build three huts. A challenging “Kennerspiel” for children which requires planning and a good memory: engaging with the game’s tactical challenges will be rewarded with a rich gaming experience.

Jury statement
Gathering, planning and building, resource management, the clever placing of figures on action spaces and building strategies – these aren’t usual themes for children’s games. However, designer Marco Teubner has succeeded in transferring the charm of the family game of the same name to an age-appropriate Stone Age adventure for younger players. Through clever use of memory elements he creates equal opportunities between the generations. Perfect for the modern Stone Age family.
