Rokoko

Rokoko

As master tailors in France under Louis XV we’ve got our hands full. Our clients want us to have their clothes ready for the grand ball. So we don’t just need cloth in the latest colours but also thread, needles – and a lot of organisation. Soon we’ll be employing assistants and apprentices to get everything finished on time. We’ll either be paid for the clothes or we’ll send our customers to one of five ballrooms, where our tailoring will gain us a great deal of prestige. “Rokoko” is a thematically tight and absorbing game for experienced players. It only appears complex at the beginning, as we are led through events by the beautiful game story – led down new paths to be the best dressmaking salon in Paris.

Jury statement
With Rokoko, the publisher eggertspiele has once again succeeded in attracting people to ambitious and longer-lasting gaming experiences through an outstanding investment in the theme. We’re not wrestling over points and majorities here, we’re really tailors running a small business in competition with others for thread, material and workers. The wonderful graphics and excellent rules all contribute to this.
