The old mansion is full of rampaging monsters. But suddenly grandma is at the front door – these terrifying figures will scare her out of her wits. So the players have to push all the monsters through the mansion’s corridors as quickly as they can, trying to get them into the monster trap in the cellar. The only way to do this is using the four sliders positioned over the board. Using these properly isn’t as easy as it seems, you’ll need perception and concentration. In a three- or four-player game you also have to work together with different partners. At the end, a look at the sand-timer will reveal whether you can catch another monster or not. Dexterity and teamwork are required for lively rounds of this sliding, monster-catching fun.

Jury statement
The attraction of Monster Trap lies in its well-realised original game concept: armed only with four sliders, players work together to manoeuvre naughty monsters into the bottom of the box – in pairs, in rotating teams. As well as dexterity, children improve their team spirit. This action-packed race against time, as well as the extraordinary game components, underlines the quality of this game – not just for children.
