It’s thrilling to be able to use objects to listen to the soundscape of days gone by. As an investigator with supernatural abilities it’s our job to do just that in “Echoes: The Dancer”. An app lets us do this: by scanning picture cards showing objects related to the story we get to hear snippets of sounds. You need to listen carefully to capture every little detail. It’s these scraps of sounds you’ll use to piece together the compelling story behind the pictures and to solve the puzzle of the eponymous dancer. What really happened on the dance teacher’s estate all those years ago? And what does it have to do with the mysterious porcelain figure? The game creates a close atmosphere around the table with the help of just a few ingredients, inviting players to give their imagination free rein and to dive into the absorbing narrative.
