Tulips glistening with morning dew, idyllic windmills by streams, or charming red barns in the sunlight: This tile-laying game is a visual delight with compelling game play. The important twist: We want to form large contiguous areas—but at the same time, we need to plan for large gaps within those areas. That’s because the wooden buildings, which are worth a lot of points, are placed in those gaps. This requires a new way of thinking and presents us with a challenging dilemma: Should we dare to leave gaps, or would we rather have a large, colorful tulip bed?
