Akropolis

Akropolis

An acropolis is the highest area of an ancient city. So obviously, playing “Akropolis” you can stack your puzzle tiles on top of one another and not just lay them side by side. The higher the stack, the more points it is worth. But only if you arrange the pieces according to the thematic demands of the different areas: yellow market districts don’t like to have competition and will only score when they don’t share a border with another market tile. Purple temples want to form a focal point for the community and must be surrounded completely by other tiles. You’ll need to plan your construction well but you’ll also need to procure usable tiles in the first place. For that you need quarries, which don’t score any points but which – if you build on top of them – provide stone blocks, which are the all too rare currency in this tactical building competition.
